The Capital One Smart Rewards Mastercard is the first Canadian card that rewards you for paying off your balance. You earn 5 points for every dollar you put toward your balance, which makes it an appealing option for building good credit habits while earning rewards, with no annual fee.
Your points never expire and are easy to redeem online, with no minimum, for gift cards or account credits. For example, 10,000 points earned over two months can get you a $25 gift card. You can track the number of points you have earned directly through online banking and the mobile app.

The card includes the full range of Mastercard benefits, including Zero Liability and Mastercard Global Service, as well as a range of everyday protections, such as Purchase Assurance, Extended Warranty and Price Protection, along with certain travel coverages. You can also add an authorized user for free.
